Our President, Jim Marshall, was born and raised in the Sandfly and Isle of Hope areas of Savannah, Ga and grew up in the Construction, Development, and Real Estate sectors in his family’s Real Estate and Construction businesses. You could say Construction and Real Estate are in his blood.

A published Nashville recording artist and professional musician, Jim Marshall attended the College of Charleston and launched a career in publishing and journalism while gigging across the Lowcountry with several bands. After several years pursuing his artistic dreams in writing and music, Jim shifted course, earning his South Carolina real‑estate and residential homebuilder licenses and moving full steam into development and construction.

Jim began his career listing, renovating, and building homes across Johns Island and Charleston, later focusing on high‑end projects in Kiawah and Seabrook gated communities. After nearly a decade refining his eye for detail and craftsmanship, he returned to Savannah in 2013 to raise his family and work with his father and brother in real estate development. Jim moved back into construction as a Senior Project Manager for several respected local contractors. In early 2022 he earned his Georgia Residential–Light Commercial General Contractor license and launched J. Marshall Contracting, LLC, bringing development experience and a meticulous approach to every project.

Today, J. Marshall Contracting, LLC has grown almost entirely through word‑of‑mouth and client referrals, earning a reputation for trust, dependability, affordability, professionalism, and craftsmanship.
